Plain Tea Ep 04: The Importance of Mental Well-being

Plain Tea Ep 04: The Importance of Mental Well-being

“If we start being honest about our pain, our anger, and our shortcomings instead of pretending they don’t exist, then maybe we’ll leave the world a better place than we found it.” – Russell Wilson

The subject of mental health has been a subject of taboo for so long . The continuous suppression of its importance has paved way for those battling mental illnesses to allow their condition to deteriorate and more than often be subject to discrimination and encounter social stigma.

Join us as we try to shed light on the importance of being vocal about one’s mental health. The most trivial thing affecting your mental well-being could be something that could affect you drastically over a period of time if not addressed.

Preserve your mental well being, while enabling others to do the same. Sometimes the toughest battles are ones that don’t leave visible scars.

Plain Tea Ep 03: A walk down memory lane: a 90’s kids Christmas Special

Plain Tea Ep 03: A walk down memory lane: a 90’s kids Christmas Special

    *Cue Knight Rider intro*

Rewatching “Home Alone” for the 4324928th time this Christmas season on Netflix took us back to a simpler time, when we used to watch the dubbed version of “Home Alone” on Sirasa TV.

The best part of our school days were the cartoons that were televised everyday, when channels such as Sirasa did a commendable job at hyper-localizing cartoons like Asterix and TMNT, that at 25 we’d remember dialogues as they were.

Join us as we reminisce on random things we miss the most about our childhood. Forgive us for completely going off track but that’s part and parcel of what nostalgia does to individuals with quarter life crises. Here are a few things that still prove exciting to 90’s kids.

(We further apologize for not being able to release the episode on the 15th as mentioned in the Podcast)

Plain Tea Ep 02: The Realities of Studying Abroad & Living Alone

Plain Tea Ep 02: The Realities of Studying Abroad & Living Alone

The idea of educating yourself abroad sounds incredible. However, there’s always a flip-side to everything. While people are swept away by the glorification associated with it, they barely talk about the solitude that follows, the struggle to adapt to a fresh environment, the roller coaster of emotions one experiences when they have to leave behind their loved ones, and many more implications while constantly  grappling with one’s physical and mental well being at the same time. Join us as we try to relate to your experiences and highlight the importance of learning to appreciate our circumstances, wherever we may be.

If you’re out there far away from your support system, hang in there and know you’re not alone. Please reach out to the below organisations if you ever feel the need to.
