Ep. 102, The 2022 WGOH Best Tournament (Nick Cage movies), 5 beers and a cocktail

After a long hiatus, the lads are back! And they are bringing the much-delayed 2022 WGOH?!? Best Tournament in which they countdown the best Nicolas Cage movies, seeded by their Rotten Tomatoes percentage and money made. We picked 4 movies from each decade of Nic Cage's illustrious career, and broke it down. Also, we had a plethora of adult beverages. the variety was as eclectic as Nic Cage movies, and this is what the lads had: Sean had Space Komet Citra (a 7%ABV IPA by Karmic Daaru Company out of Branford, CT), and Leave The Gun, Take The Cannoli (a 7.4% ABV stout by 902 Brewing out of Jersey City, NJ). Andrew had Big Wave (a 4.4% ABV golden ale by the Kona Brewing Company out of Kailua Kona, HI) and a cocktail called the Bitter End (a variation on the whiskey sour using Wild Turkey 101, Campari, and bitters). Tomo had the Solstice Lager (a 4.5% ABV lager by Stella Artois out of Leuven, Belgium) and Ahooga (a 7.8% ABV imperial pilsner by Hackesack Brewing out of Hackensack, NJ). So get yourself one (or all) of these drinks, download the episode, and let us know if you agree with our picks or not. Cheers!!!

Ep. 101 - The Batman, Delirium Nocturnum, Special Guest Alex Colon

We're back with another one! This time, we tackle Matt Reeves' The Batman, and we had the help of special guest Alex Colon (follow him on Instagram @alexsinfinteinterests), a proper comic book nerd, artist, and LEO. Also, to help us break down this latest Dark Knight feature, we reviewed Delirium Nocturnum (see what we did there with the beer pick?), a 8.5% ABV, 26 IBU Belgian dark ale from the Huyghe Brewery out of Melle, Belgium. If you've seen the movie, or don't care about spoilers, or really want to hear who made the "F!#$ That Guy" segment in this episode (quite a few people got called out), pick up some Delirium Nocturnum, download the episode, and enjoy the ride. Cheers!!!

Ep. 100, four iconic TV shows, four Johnnie Walker whiskeys

Ep. 100, four iconic TV shows, four Johnnie Walker whiskeys

We've finally returned! It's been a long time, and we were all in person, and we had a special guest! Joining us was young Miss Gaby Penaherrera, star of the short film Move On. And because this is the 100th episode, we reviewed the 100th episode of the following iconic TV shows: Law & Order: SVU, The X-Files, The Office, and Star Trek: The Next Generation. Why four TV shows, you ask? Because we had four Johnnie Walker whiskeys to sample, that's why! Black Label, Gold Label Reserve, Johnnie Walker 18, and Blue Label. Needless to say, much fun was had, many tangents were achieved, and lots of good whiskey was imbibed. Tune in to this marathon, pick up one of the aforementioned whiskeys (or all of them), sample them, compare your grades to ours, and enjoy the ride. Cheers!!!

The lads cover a multitude of subjects, including No Time To Die, Dune, Hawkeye, Spider Man: No Way Home (obliquely), whether Siri is ever off, and others. And as for the list of beers this year, we have 11 beers and a whiskey! Ep. 98 - Squid Game, Oktober Fest-Märzen

We're back with a new episode, and we are going old school! In Episode 98, we tackle Netflix's huge hit, Squid Game, and we analyze it the way we did when we started to podcast back in 2017: we turned off any dubbing or subtitles, watched the middle 20 minutes of the first episode, and tried to figure out what's going on. At the same time, we had a belated Oktoberfest celebration by sampling Oktober Fest-Märzen, a 5.8% ABV, 25 IBU Bavarian festival lager, by Ayinger Privatbrauerei, out of Aying, Germany. So download our shenanigans, pick up this delicious brew, and enjoy! Prost!!!
