A poem about the hidden face of racism embedded in our hearts and systematically within society! ...... This fight is not between
Black and White,
This fight is between
Darkness and Light.
The ignorance and hate,
We carry in our hearts,
Dividing humanity into fragmented parts.
A disturbing lack of morals and ethics,
Stripped naked by capitalist tactics.
Stonecold hearts devoid of empathy,
This evil fantasy of supremacy.
Are we not human to the core?
Just crumbled down to our credit score?
When saving hands take lives.
When knees start to choke our rise.
Such is the arrogance and vanity,
Humans indeed but lacking humanity.
Can we not see past this greed?
Why are we planting hateful seeds?
Remember,
Flowers do not blossom in barren lands,
Neither does justice in unjust hands.
No!
This fight is not between
Black and White.
This fight is between
Death and Life
Because,
I can't breathe!
