More Questions Than Answers: The Capture of Daniel Callihan
In this episode, Executive Producer Daniel Brown Joins Kiran Chawla as they dive into the tragic and heinous case of the murder of Callie Brunett. Her father discovered her brutal murder when he went to check on her after not hearing from her. What made the situation even more devastating was the disappearance of her two young children, Erin and Jaylee.
An intense multi-state manhunt ensued, leading to the eventual arrest of Daniel Callihan, who later confessed to the murder of both 4 year old Erin and her mother Callie.
They discuss the frustration voiced by the TPSO in the delay in issuing an Amber Alert for the missing children, shedding light on the intricacies and criteria involved in issuing such alert as well as troubled past and mental health issues plaguing Daniel Callahan. The disturbing similarities between Callihan actions and those of his father shed even more light on the complexities of this story.
Further, we discuss the involvement of Victoria Cox in the crimes and what role she may have played in this tragedy that crossed state lines, kicking off a federal investigation.
