Scream Addicts - Best of the Decade with Scott “Foywonder” Foy and Matt Serafini!

Scream Addicts continues its annual tradition with Scott Foy and Matt Serafini joining Jinx to compare their Best of lists!  However, rather than simply covering the past year, this episode finds the trio discussing their picks for the Top Ten Films of the Decade!

Shin Godzilla and Stake Land, Troll Hunter and Twixt, Mandy and Maniac - these and more are discussed in our year-end finale!  As the guys wind through their own personal Top Ten of the Decade lists, many other subjects are tackled along the way - including Us, dodgy “Scariest Movie Ever” marketing, and…the Snyder Cut?!

…we also manage to chat about Doctor Sleep, “guilty pleasures” and…sigh…The Stone Man.  Ugh.

It’s a blast of a chat with two fantastic guests, and it’s one we hope you enjoy!

CURSED with Ghastly Grinning’s Ryan Larson

This week on Scream Addicts, Jinx welcomes Ryan Larson to the show!

The founder and editor-in-chief of Ghastly Grinning (visit here:  https://www.ghastlygrinning.com/), Mr. Larson has chosen Wes Craven’s much-maligned werewolf horror/comedy CURSED for discussion this week.

With its frequently humorous script and cast of impressive young actors, CURSED kicks off a conversation which touches on both the film’s flaws and virtues, its unfortunate production history, and why people should really give the film a second chance.  Along the way, Mr. Larson and Jinx discuss the film’s questionable treatment of one character’s sexuality, the possibility of one day getting Wes Craven’s original cut of the film, and…that infamous werewolf bird-flipping moment.

It’s a wonderful chat with a fantastic guest, and it’s one we hope you enjoy.

With its grim setting and well drawn characters, SE7EN kicks off a conversation which focuses on the relationship between the film’s leads, the movie’s surprising parallels to Mr. Prows’ alternate movie pick No Country for Old Men, and whether or not it should be considered a horror film.  Along the way, the two chat about their first viewings of the film, their initial reactions to its shocking ending, and…would Mr. Prows have shot John Doe, or let him live?!

It’s a great chat with a wonderful guest, and it’s one we hope you enjoy.

Along the way, the two discuss the ultimate benefits of the production’s limitations, their thoughts on the film’s phallic imagery and H.R. Giger’s iconic design work, and the realistic, blue collar characters that populate this otherwise outlandish tale.
