The Lonely Palette
Welcome to The Lonely Palette, the podcast that returns art history to the masses, one painting at a time. Each episode, host Tamar Avishai picks a painting du jour, interviews unsuspecting museum visitors in front of it, and then dives deeply into the object, the movement, the social context, and anything and everything else that will make it as neat to you as it is to her. Amazing Podcast
05/03/2020
I do have to admit, that I am not a fan of most podcasts and usually I ten to listen just a single episode on an interesting topic and that is it. And those for the most part are more of music news reviewed. But lately one of my acquaintances appeared in a Podcast speaking about art and how your personal experiences and background can shift perception of any piece of art. So I thought it would be a nice to remember art history and I tried to find a nice Podcast about art, or at least some inspiring blog. And oh my glob... my first experiences were horrible with loads of snobby talk and poor sound quality, some “sleep generating” lectures from university. And I was losing hope. But then I saw a recommendation to try the Lonely Palette. And this is amazing. So I started from the first episode and I can tell you - this is amazing. I started and can’t stop. If you are reading this and you are still thinking if this is worth your time - it is! This is a Podcast is a collection of beautifully crafted stories about art pieces with art history gently giving the story a stepping stone toward culmination. This show gave me not only satisfaction and knowledge, it also reminded me how I used to love drawing and now I’m back to my pencil collection. Thank you, Tamara, for this amazing experience and PLEASE don’t stop, because it is addictive and I need more...
