This week, we have a very special, long-awaited episode for you. We sat down with Rob Montgomerie to finally get his story out into the world (this is part 1 of a multi-part series)!
Up until now, Rob has been a private person, happily serving behind-the-scenes, coaching leaders of some of the most powerful companies in the world. You may not be aware that Rob has also been a huge supporter of our work at Desire on Fire, consistently backing us in a myriad of ways to grow as leaders and serve our community at the highest level. 
But the birth of his son, Bear, two years ago, has ignited Rob even more deeply into his purpose, and called him step forward into a new role that’s more public-facing— in service of doing everything he can to support men especially, and do his part to create the world he wants to leave to his son. 
Aimee and I have been asking Rob for YEARS to create a brother program to do the work we do with women at Desire on Fire, and I’m so thrilled to share that he finally said yes!!
It begins mid-April, and it’s called The Kings Code. ❤️‍🔥
Rob has been walking his own deeply transformational path for close to two decades now, which he generously shares about (without holding back) in this episode. The incredible life he has created of impact, abundance, family, and contribution, is a reflection of how this man deeply embodies the King archetype, and we really can’t imagine anyone more qualified to guide men on their awakening journey.

In today’s episode we sat down with our client and a college friend of Aimee’s, Makayla Davis. 
 
She’s in one of our all-time favorite photos taken at a Desire On Fire Live event. She’s crying, fully immersed in a private moment of reckoning, and she’s holding the hand of her good friend. 
 
It’s an image that perfectly encapsulates what we do and why we’re here: to help women thaw out, connect deeply with their aliveness in every area of life, and do it all together, held in a powerful container of real sisterhood. 
 
What Makayla reveals in today’s conversation is that that moment happened at last year’s Desire On Fire experience, in response to a question from Ellie onstage. 
 
For 30 years, she had been standing on the sidelines with her desires. When she reconnected with Aimee on social media and started seeing her posts, she experienced a whole range of feelings: judgment, envy, resistance, curiosity. 
 
The loudest message in her head was: That’s not for you. For someone else, maybe, but not for you.  
 
Today we sat down with Makayla to get the whole story — what brought her here, what held her back at first, what had her finally say “yes,” and why that’s made all the difference for her in her life, work, and relationships. 
 
Makayla’s journey is perfectly her own, and also super relatable. She’s finally finding her center; discovering what it’s like to look people in the eye for the first time and ask for what she wants; practicing saying what needs to be said, even when it’s hard and messy; and finally buying lingerie.
