Here, I describe the pivotal moment when I realized that I had to write my memoir, In Duet with God, which would ultimately be honored with an Illumination Book Award. The story is about a very special woman named, "Flora," a person who touches the lives of all whom she meets. In Duet with God is the tale of Flora's love and the awakening of the heart this remarkable person inspired. Piano music: "Il Est Ne Le Divin Infant," a French carol dedicated to the baby Jesus; "O Salutaris Hostia," a timeless hymn; and "Kyrie" from The Missa Criolla, one of the most beloved pieces of sacred music, arranged and performed by Jessica Roemischer.
