Episode 145 - Megan Gallagher : Turn Off The Autopilot Mode Purpose in the Youth

    • Society & Culture

Megan Gallagher is a TEDx Speaker, Author and mental health advocate for teens. Dealing with severe chronic anticipatory anxiety and panic attacks from the age of 6 through 17, she feels it’s her responsibility to be a voice and example that we should all be comfortable in our own skin.
She’s written three books: Why Don’t I Look Like Her, Everything Is Happening For You, Not To You and You Can Choose. She’s been featured on NBC News, Fox 11 News and other major media outlets. She speaks at Middle and High Schools around the country on topics such as anxiety, loving yourself and being in tune with your body.
In this episode Megan discusses why you’re good enough, the importance of having a resilient attitude, why we need to fill up our cup first before we help others, how our thoughts are like clothes in our closet, we pick them and why we need to turn off the autopilot mode.
