There is no perfect way to parenting. We all find our way by trying & analyzing what works best for our family ecosystem.

However, a children's ecosystem includes parents, grand-parents, teachers, friends and any other care-giver who spends a considerable amount of time with a child & influences their actions, behaviour & beliefs.

Parenting becomes a little tricky especially when you land up in a new country in trying to understand and establish your ecosystem there. I am one such Expat Parent from Luxembourg who would discuss relevant parenting issues on this podcast one topic at a time.

Introduction to Expat Parenting Show with Ruchi Jaju

Introduction to Expat Parenting Show with Ruchi Jaju

Are you an expat or an immigrant parent living away from your home country and raising a family?

Then this podcast is your place to be that will address questions and issues pertaining to parenting in a foreign country.

Hi! I am Ruchi Jaju. My journey as an Expat Parent began when I moved to Luxembourg from India almost 8 years ago. With a 5 month old baby, a new place, a contrasting climate and social environment as compared to that of India, the settling down period was no less than an uncomfortable process.

Having met and spoken to multiple expat parents like me, I found out that most of the parents struggle with a couple of common themes:

Familiarizing kids with your religion, customs or rituals of your home country (which could be a minority religion in the country you have relocated to)
Finding the right education system is the best for your kid
Finding a job for the trailing partner who have left their jobs in their previous country
Extracurricular activities for your kids and establishing your ecosystem that can support you in this new country

I can go on and on with a lot more...

But I am sure, you'd be able to relate to it if you have ever lived in a new country and raised your kids while living there.

The objective with this podcast is to bring to you experiences and stories from people across the child's ecosystem that consists of -

fellow expat parents like you and me
    child care providers
    psychologists and child behavioral experts
    educationists
    administrates from government authorities
    doctors
other specialists related to child care and family well-being

Each episode will leave you with takeaways, that are relevant, actionable and practical in nature that will help you in this parenting journey.

Don't forget to subscribe and follow this podcast on whichever platform you are tuning in from. This little gesture of support would mean a lot to me
in this journey that I have just begun. :)
