Binti is an Africanfuturist science fiction horror novella written by Nnedi Okorafor. It tells the story of a young Himba woman named Binti who was the first member of her ethnic group on Earth to be accepted into the prestigious intergalactic university, Oomza Uni. Binti runs away from home and boards a transport ship to the university only to find herself deep in the middle of a ship hijack by the Meduse who killed everyone on board the ship. Being a Master Harmonizer, it all rests on her now to prevent an all out war and negotiate peace between the Meduse and Oomza government.

The Last Duty is a book that focus on an inter-ethnic family: Mukoro Oshevire, an innocent man sent to prison for allegedly collaborating with the rebel troops during their occupation of a small border town. His wife Aku, a Simbian who married into Urukpe and their four year old son, Oghenovo, and the struggle they had to go through.
