It’s said that Beethoven’s death was like a biblical scene — he shook his fist at the heavens and a clap of thunder roared across Vienna as he left this world. His contemporary, Mahler, would become obsessed with his death because of another strange coincidence surrounding it: he died composing his tenth symphony, making Beethoven one of a long line of composers to die after completing their ninth symphony. Mahler would call this the curse of the ninth. Is there some strange supernatural power that limits earthly musicians to nine symphonies like a cat has nine lives? In 1994, game designed Steve Jackson released a card game titled "Illuminati: New World Order", a game where players would role play as puppet-master organizations fighting for world domination. In 1966 a Canadian tourist visiting London, Reverend Ralph Hardy, took a photo that would become notorious as one of the greatest pieces of paranormal evidence ever captured. Despite consulting photographic experts and even Kodak themselves, it has never been proven to be a hoax. On this episode of This Paranormal Life, Kit and Rory investigate the site of this event: the Tulip staircase within the Queen's House in London, try to understand whether the events of 1966 were really paranormal, and even attempt to recreate Ralph Hardy's fateful photograph!

In 1966, the small town of Wanaque, New Jersey was visited by a strange light in the night sky. Locals watched in awe as it zipped around at impossible speeds and even shot a LIGHT BEAM down towards the icy ground.
