The Grammy's brought us Meg Thee Stallion cleaning up on the awards front, Beyonce setting all-time records, DaBaby with a choir of old white people in judge gowns, an iconic 20-foot high heel featuring Cardi B, a moving political statement by Lil Baby, and much more.  



Hip hop clearly dominated the night, so Trey and I discussed the events as well as how much the awards actually matter, the nomination process and how it could be improved to better reflect the cultures they are trying to judge, and more!

In episode 3, we discuss the highly anticipated recent release from director Shaka King "Judas and the Black Messiah."  

In addition to the incredible performances by Daniel Kaluuya & LaKeith Stanfield, we talk about the ways in which modern day policing are connected to the events of the movie, the legacy of the Black Panther party and Fred Hampton, and much more.

In episode 2, we dive into all the madness around the ongoing battle between Wall Street and the growing force of the internet.  What started on Reddit made its way to worldwide headlines when the online community started what has become somewhat of a financial revolution.  

Being the magnet for the dramatic that I am, of course I was involved in the reason platforms like Robinhood decided to halt trading on certain stocks like Game Stop and AMC in unprecedented moves.  We discuss what has happened so far, the downstream effects we may see both inside and outside the financial world, the power of the internet, the frustrations harbored by Millennials as a whole, and more on this one

Welcome to Blake's Take²! On our first episode back from over a year long hiatus, we felt the need to discuss some of the events that played out both pre and post pandemic since we last put out content.  A lot has changed in our lives not only personally, but in the world as a whole since December 2019.  We ran through a few key ways these intertwined to get all caught up to the present.
