After having to reschedule a podcast with Derrick a while ago we finally hooked it up for an impromptu U.S election podcast. It is about 24 hours in there’s lots of uncertainty and Derrick gives his thought on the situation as a public policy expert and an American. Covering lots of stuff. Trying to be a bit more regular with guests and in the process of sorting the schedule out.

I had Natasha Hirst on this week to talk about the importance of journalism and the role it plays in today's society. I was spurred on to get Natasha on after seeing lots of comments all over social media slamming' All journalists' I feel that it's super important now more than ever to have a free press and quality journalism holding people to account.

Today's guest had to bail last min so I made up for it alone. I talk about the absurdity of the Borris - Cummings scandal. How sad it is to see all the hard work and sacrifice millions of us in the UK have done undermined by a not even politician and the sad incompetent leader that won't take control of the ordeal. It get's a bit lively around that but it's impossible not to be when theres so much suffering and sacrifice made from us all. Stay strong everyone look after each other and let's get through this together. 

I caught up with Jack an old friend who now teaches as a Criminologist at UWE. We talk about Criminology and sociology, the current effect of policing after years of austerity, the lockdown situation between England and Wales and the total hypocrisy of Cummins breaking lockdown rules whilst the rest of the country face fines for doing so.

It's been a while since the last episode and in this one I caught up with Clayton. I met Clayton in Korea when we both worked as English teachers. We talk about the current situation with Corona virus for both Clayton out in the US (Pennsylvania) and for me in the UK in Wales. Clayton is a PhD fellow at Penn State University in the field of Learning Design Technology.
Getting to grips with the new setup to get remote guests in during lockdown, more on the way.
