Meet You In The Middle - Just About Jesus

Meet You In The Middle - Just About Jesus

River City Church - Discover - Connect - Grow

Welcome to River City Church Online.  Thank you for joining us today as we finish the mini series of meeting in the messy middle.

Today's message has been presented by Pastor Darrell Bierman.

At this time in history, people of our world seem to be suffering from a multitude of insolvable problems and from a propensity for war.

Closer to home, it seems like there is conflict everywhere – our jobs, our schools, our public squares, our governments and our churches.

It is No wonder everyone around, whether or not they are believers, seems to be anxious, skeptical and even hopeless about the future.

Are we not called to bring hope as a church?

Who really benefits if we splinter our ministry and our mission?

Join us for a series about the messy lives of people who have decided to follow Jesus the best way they can and how to develop a path to the healing of our divisions and a peace to preserve our unity, in whatever settings we find ourselves.

Café will be open right after the service.

We are located at 215 South Street, Cambridge, Ontario.

God bless you today and we hope to see you soon.

The Book of Esther - For Such a Time as This

River City Church - Discover - Connect - Grow

Welcome to River City Church Online.  Thank you for joining us today as we look at the book of Esther.

Today's message has been presented by Pastor Darrell Bierman.

We are living in a tough season for the church and in the church.

A time of major transition and of major change. It's hard!! (Like once in every 500 years hard!)

We may lament the challenge of being believers (or part of Jesus’ Church) today; however, it’s no accident that this is happening on our watch (as per Acts 17:26 and elsewhere).

So, how can we remain faithful what God has put us in?

How can we persevere and fulfill God’s calling on our lives and on our church?

Prayer for stronger backs not lighter loads.

Yes soon, pre-trial (prepare our people).

Healing & Hope - The Church’s Image Problem & Four Ways to Fix It

Healing & Hope - The Church’s Image Problem & Four Ways to Fix It

River City Church - Discover - Connect - Grow

Welcome to River City Church Online.  Thank you for joining us today as we finish our series called Crafting a Culture of Healing & Hope in the Church.

Today's message has been presented by Pastor Darrell Bierman.

A healthy church is one where every person is seen, heard, and valued.

A healthy church has carefully crafted a culture of goodness, dignity, and respect.

However, both history and our current headlines reveal a church that can be a deeply flawed, sinful, and unhealthy institution, marred by acts of injustice, corruption, abuse, misogyny, and oppression. Indeed, far from having “goodness cultures” too many churches today have “toxic” cultures!

So, is this vision of a healthy church even possible or is this vision idealistic and unattainable this side of heaven?

Here at River City Church, we believe that a healthy church is possible, but creating one will takes all of us working together deliberately following a map.

This new series will give us the map and will both equip and challenge us to turn this this dream into a reality.

The essence of Christianity isn’t the same as the current angry, abusive, self-righteous expression of Christianity that’s causing so many to walk away.

The vast majority of church leaders and of everyday Christians are - by and large - being faithful to Christ’s call (they are endeavoring to be good-hearted, honest, and faithful).

This Sunday we will look at how to identify issues in the church and how to resolve them.

Café will be open right after the service.

We are located at 215 South Street, Cambridge, Ontario.

God bless you today and we hope to see you soon.
