African cycling is represented by three riders in the male World Tour peloton - Ryan Gibbons is a former continental champion and South African national champion in both the time trial and road race disciplines. He speaks to us ahead of his 2024 season, fresh from a training camp with his new team Lidl-Trek ahead of his national championships.... in an Olympic year. For Ryan, 2024 will be a year of learning, new equipment, new teammates and new team culture. He reveals his role in Mads Pederson's lead out train, why he's pleased to be riding Trek bikes and how you really recover after a brutal stage.
