The Nielson Show Edmonton Sports Talk

To start the third hour, the boys start with some Mr. Mikes ‘Kind of Easy Trivia.’
 
They then transitioned to ‘Three Questions Too Many’ from Park Mazda.
 
The boys dove into their new segment near the end of the hour called ‘Guys who aren’t tough enough to play’ Presented by SBLLP.
 
The boys finished the show with ‘The Wrap’ for William Huff.

Darren Dreger got things started in the second hour of the show. He came on to talk all things NHL playoffs. He shared his initial thoughts on the Oilers and Stars series, whether or not Corey Perry should be brought into the lineup & finished with his thoughts on the Panthers and Rangers series.
 
In the middle of the hour, we qualified our first listener for a chance to win $100,000 in our ‘Hole in One’ contest presented by Golf Town. Followed by that, The Coolbet ‘Hotline of The Day.’
 
Near the end of the second hour, former Oiler Brendan Perlini stopped by to talk about his new YouTube endeavours, his golf game and Brendan finished the show with his thoughts on the Oilers & Stars series.

Dustin Nielson & Lt. Eric are back with another edition of The Nielson Show! The fellas started off the show by recapping there weekends…
 
They then dove into ‘Morning Announcements’ Presented by 100.3 The Bear, to recap all the biggest sports stories over the weekend.
 
Dusty then gave some gifts from he got from Jasper to both Lt. E and YTT and let’s just say, they rocked.
 
In the second half of the first hour, the boys gave their first ’Tales of The North’ Presented by Christopher Boyle of the WCF… and it was another all timer.
 
To finish the first hour, the boys dove into lots of Oilers talk.

To start the third hour, Norm in a Combine calls in to play 'Kind of Easy Trivia' for Mr. Mikes where he goes 5/5 to win a $25 Mr. Mikes gift card!

In the second hour, Mike Johnson joins the show as the 'Pro Am Sports Big Guest of the Day!' Johnson gives his thoughts on Game one of the Western Conference Final and highlights Connor McDavid sitting for four minutes during his double minor. He also sheds some light on his missed chance in front before breaking down the game-winning sequence involving the pass to Connor McDavid from Evan Bouchard for the game-winner. Johnson then takes a look at the defence of the Dallas Stars and how they were broken down a bit by the Oilers' offence. MJ also talks a bit about the Edmonton Oilers' penalty-killing and special teams. After that, he talks about Stuart Skinner's stellar play in Game one and what that means for him in the future of the series. MJ brings up Roope Hintz and how he'd fit in when and if he comes into the lineup for this series. Before leaving, Mike Johnson shares some of what's going on at the World Hockey Championship!
 
Once MJ leaves, Dusty and LTE look at the biggest parts of the game and how the Oilers were able to roll out every line comfortably!
 
Dusty lays down the 'Coolbet Hotline of the Day' where he goes to the Blue Jays winning today!

Dustin Nielson and Lt. Eric are HYPED after a huge Game one win for the Edmonton Oilers! It's Friday morning after game day and with the win, Dusty and Eric have a good list of things to get to including a BIG announcement for EST!
 
To start, the fellas play a couple of songs for 'Sportball' before laying out the agenda for today.
 
Dusty gets into the 'Morning Announcements' for 100.3 The BEAR where he teases the announcement and shouts out Atif on his birthday!
 
Dusty and Eric dive deeper into the game during 'The Morning After Show' for E.M. Utility Locating!
 
During the segment, we hear from Captain Connor McDavid and what he had to say after the game.
 
Lt. Eric and Dusty touch on the officiating and how the Dallas Stars definitely took at least one penalty in the game but wasn't called.
