On April 25th, 2022, the Minister for Grand Bahama, and Member of Parliament for the Pineridge Constituency, Hon. Ginger Moxey, sat down with DJ Money and Sasha Pinder on 102.7 FM’s segment, ‘Run Ya Mouth’ to talk about what has been done, what is ongoing and future plans for Grand Bahama Island

Minister Moxey energetically and convincingly spoke of significant initiatives in the pipeline for the island of Grand Bahama, and highlighted some of the projects already executed. As Grand Bahama is poised to become the Home of Events & Entertainment, Home of Innovation, and the Home of Maritime & Logistics, the Minister for Grand Bahama painted a very optimistic and reassuring picture of her vision for the future of this island. She noted plans for restoration and revitalization of The International Bazaar, Downtown Area, and other historical and culturally-rich locations.

Minister Moxey announced that by the end of this month, the final buyer for The Grand Lucayan Hotel will be selected. The Grand Bahama International Airport, deemed priority number one, closes its Requests for Proposals in May. Groundbreaking for Carnival cruise port is also slated for May.

The Minister for Grand Bahama and Member of Parliament for the Pineridge Constituency has committed to establishing an ecosystem where EVERY Grand Bahamian is positively impacted through new vendor opportunities, cultural experiences, entrepreneurial initiatives, a vast resurgence in the tourism industry.

The Ministry for Grand Bahama is a project-based unit, focused on action, results, execution. Through partnerships, the goal of the Minister for Grand Bahama is to create new opportunities for Grand Bahamians, and provide the support to ensure that they excel and generate wealth while doing what they love.

In keeping with the core mandates of the Ministry for Grand Bahama, ‘Collab’, ‘Beautiful Grand Bahama’ and ‘Empower Grand Bahama’ were established. Minister Moxey has dedicated her unyielding efforts to a community-based agenda with a ‘trickle down’ effect to empower and give hope.

Radio host Sasha Pinder said it best this morning, the thing that sets Minister Moxey aside from other politicians who propose plans, is ACTION!

In her admonition to all listeners, Minister Moxey noted that her heart is to SERVE.

On November 1st, The Minister for Grand Bahama and Member of Parliament for Pineridge Ginger Moxey, presented a powerful inaugural speech in The House of Assembly.

In her speech Minister Moxey highlights the challenges Grand Bahama has faced, the way forward, and many of the projects that are already in motion to bring about a New Day in Pineridge and Grand Bahama. 

When the Progressive Liberal Party speaks about diversifying the economy, The Orange Economy plays a pivotal role in this.

With me are Alfred Sears (PLP Candidate Fort Charlotte), Mario K Bowleg (PLP Candidate Garden Hills), and Sammi Starr Poitier II.

We'll discuss ways that the Progressive Liberal Party intends to make this happen, and how it will affect Bahamians at large.

This afternoon,  our candidate spoke at the Women's branch meeting at The Sir Lynden Pindling Center, Nassau, Bahamas.

Ms. Moxey, along with the other female candidates, spoke of what they have been doing in their constituencies, as well as their plans for their constituencies.

On Friday,  June 25th, Ginger Moxey,  Progressive Liberal Party Candidate for the constituency of Pineridge, was a guest on Beyond the Headlines with Clint Watson.



During her interview, Ms. Moxey decried the state of Grand Bahama, highlighted the accomplishments of the PLP on Grand Bahama during their last term, and assured residents that they need to elect persons like her, who genuinely care and truly have their well-being and interest at heart.



She also spoke of her community projects past and present, her plans to empower, and her commitment to work on behalf of residents to create entrepreneurial opportunities, better their lives, and get things done!



She noted that residents are expressing their confidence in her, and her ability to mobilize and get things done;  and she will not disappoint!
