Part 2 - The Dancer
So, this part is a bit dark and I apologize for that. I should’ve made it clear in the beginning that I’m discussing my great aunt (grand aunt?) Beatrice. I indirectly found this story in the midst of trying to discover who my grandma’s parents were. Anyways, this is the most surprising bit of research I’ve found so far and I felt it was worth sharing not only to keep Beatrice’s memory alive, but also because I needed to express the surprise and emotional wave I have from finding a story about my family via a 1960s Jet publication. Starting to feel like my family’s journey in Detroit could be deeper than I thought?

Part 1 - Intro
Hi. Here I talk about my reasons for doing this, a bit about my family history and what I’ve learned so far. Forgot to mention that my youngest sister’s middle name is Beverly-Bonét. B times infinity!!! To my Jima, Mom and Dad especially: I’m sure you’ve told me things about our family that I’ve probably forgotten, and maybe sometimes I’m too afraid to ask. Sorry. Love you :)
