    • Sport

This is episode 10 of the new Women Who Sport 10-part series titled "Big Conversations" where we will be discussing important issues in todays sporting world with groundbreaking guests!

On this episode of the pod we are joined by the phenomenal Hannah Miley! Hannah is an individual medley swimmer who debuted for the British Swimming team in 2006 and won 25 international medals at major events during her 15-year career at the top. This included back-to-back Commonwealth titles for Team Scotland in 2010 and 2014 and she represented Team GB at the Olympic Games in 2008, 2012 and 2016. Since retiring from swimming in December 2021 she has been focusing on leading the way in several campaigns to break the stigma around the language when talking about periods and hosting educational workshops. In this episode we discuss:

- not letting size hold you back

- focussing on processes and not outcomes

- viewing success and learning from the journey

- mistaking MBE honours letters for the police

- breaking down the taboo around periods

- how to work with your body to get the most out of it

Hannah is absolutely incredible and it was huge honour to have such a legendary Scottish athlete on our wee pod!
