The theme of the DYF year 2020 is Given to Giving derived from Isaiah 50:4. As a fellowship we have decided for every member of the fellowship to introspect in regard to giving. God epitomised this in the giving oh His Son or rather Himself.
Paul is encouraging the members of the Church of Corinth to give citing the example of the Macedonians by reminding them that it pleases God when one cheerfully gives. Bey Abaasa helps us better understand what it is to cheerfully give and how we can grow it into our character. At a time when Paul was heading to Jerusalem and was uncertain of his fate, he encourages the Christians that were with him to fully give themselves away by reminding them the words of Jesus; saying it is more blessed to give than to receive.
