Layne sits down to chat with Marc Morehouse (Cedar Rapids Gazette, OnIowa podcast) about journalism and Iowa football.  Marc is an incredible journalist who takes great care to include as much story in his pieces has possible.  As Iowa football media days approach questions about the 2019 season abound but we focus a lot on extracurriculars.

Layne is joined by the Des Moines Register / Iowa City Press Citizen / Hawk Central's own Mark Emmert.  The conversation revolves largely around Mark's work in the industry while of course diving into the 2019 Iowa football season as well.  Mark shares a plethora of great stories from his career including some hilarious misunderstandings where twitter has perceived him to be the NCAA President.

On our first full podcast we explore Iowa's most important games - not to be confused necessarily with its most difficult.  In order to win the B1G West, looking at its 5 year history, Iowa cannot lose more than 1 game to a West rival.  

B1G West champs are 39-4 in conference with only 1 loss to a West opponent (Northwestern) and all four losses were by a combined 23 points with the other three coming against Top 10 teams.
