Episode 2 Language of wine
Episode 2: the language of wine
If you work in wine, you’ll have to deal with foreign languages. Even if you are a native speaker, reading/learning/pronouncing French, Italian, German wines and grapes correctly is the minimum you should consider.
Wine is a cultural product, it has travelled, witnessed and survived many historical events, of course, it has myths and legends that surround it. Sometimes, knowing the translation of the name of a grape variety can shed some light on its past.
Do we describe wine differently? Have you thought about it? Does speaking different languages get you a better job (spoiler: yes), and, finally, is AI driving us all - wine communicators- out of work???
All of the above in an exciting second episode of Introvert Wine Podcast with Raul Guizzo. Serial polyglot, traveler and writer 👌🏻🥂
Enjoy!
