Jen spent the fall of 2023 through March of 2024 down in Antartica and got to experience a bunch of cool adventures while at McMurdo. We will learn a little about her background and she will tell some stories about what it takes to live in one of the most remote areas of the world.     This week we are joined by Carey Kish from his thru hike on Continental Divide Trail. Carey is a long-time multi-sport adventurer, journalist and photographer. A Registered Maine Guide and former president and founding member of MOAC, the Maine Outdoor Adventure Club, Kish has led countless hiking, backpacking and whitewater rafting trips throughout Maine, and is also an avid mountain biker, kayaker, and downhill and x-c skier. He thru-hiked the 2,150-mile Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine in 1977, and has since completed two-dozen long distance trails in the United States, Canada and Europe, including a recent coast-to-coast trek across Ireland. Carey is the writer of three books on hiking - Maine Mountain Guide for the AMC, The AMCs Best Day hikes Along the Maine Coast, and the most recent book Beer Hiking New England:The Tastiest Way.
