    #TBR229 - The Mandela Effect

    #TBR229 - The Mandela Effect

The Mandela effect or false memory. Beans and Dave take a look at why it is so called - the science behind the phenomenon - as well as taking a look at the most common examples from the world of film and song (which was always going to be a challenge with Dave's appalling memory).
Dave has done his homework and he brings a lot of facts to the table. But the thing with Mandela Effect is that it leads to a bigger question - if your memory is affected by your emotions and your beliefs then (a) how much can you rely on them and (b) just how close are they to what actually happened and how could we find out?
We also take a look at the present in the world of politics and ponder how we will view these times when we reflect back on them from many years in the future.

The opening music is "London Bayou" by Oscar Albis Rodrigues and the closing music is "BDS" by Lewis Pickford.

Last time out we heard his journey, this time around he wanted to talk about Politics. Not just about the election. Not just about how small businesses have been affected. He talks about society and where the problems have been created, how the current Government has helped the wounds in society to fester and his fears at the thought of bringing a child in to this world.
