On episode 40 of Canon Fodder we dig into the Roadhouse universe. But wait, you say; there’s only one movie and the reboot. How could there possibly be a connection? Well the reboot from 2024 is most certainly not canon, and most certainly not good. But there was a direct to DVD sequel made in the early 2000’s starring Johnathon Schaech as Dalton’s son and Jake Busey as the bad guy. It’s honestly WAY better than it has any business being and certainly better than the garbage remake. Just remember. Pain don’t hurt.

On episode 168 of Talking Tacos the boys defend Caitlin Clark, in the metaphorical sense. We’re sure you’ve all heard the news about her treatment in the WNBA and as annoying as it seems, it’s actually quite common. Sports ball. We also recap Pride weekend in Asbury Park and the semi-viral video of Scottie Gelati hosing down a bunch of shithead jesus protestors that were harassing his customers in front of Lola’s. We finally have a bad hot sauce, Dave’s Insanity Sauce. And we are joined by another member of the Revue Podcast Network family, Ed, from the Canon Fodder podcast.

On episode 17 of Matt and Mike Read Comics we read Cereal from Ahoy comics. It’s a perfectly satirical blend of What We Do In the Shadows, Monster Squad, and of course breakfast cereal. This book is hilarious in many ways while still telling a captivating and coherent story about war and love. And also cereal. Breakfast is Matt’s favorite meal of the day and Mike loves his breakfast cereal so this book was a match made in heaven. Written by Mark Russell and illustrated by Peter Snjeberg, this book is a must read.

On episode 166 of Talking Tacos the boys sidestep porn bans, specifically Bill in North Carolina. Like…wtf is going on? This is America and we like our porn. Hands off you shitty little politicians. Speaking of politicians, did you know that Prohibition created the police state that we currently live in? Fun times. Also, ANOTHER idiot billionaire is taking ANOTHER metal balloon to the depths of the ocean to LOOK AT the fucking Titanic. Bro, watch the movie and the Discovery Channel. Godspeed. We have an everything-bagel-flavored hot sauce and a bunch of other stuff to talk about.

On episode 165 of Talking Tacos the boys return to Loteria! It’s been a long winter, but it was nice to be back at the big table with our flag and to see all of our old friends. This week we talk about how LA sucks, that the Monmouth County food scene rivals anyplace in the country, a dipshit judge ruling that tacos are sandwiches over a ZONING law, and we explain in great detail how 9/11 led to the downfall of Ellen Degeneres. It’s a wild ride so strap in!

On episode 164 of Talking Tacos the boys cause an international incident. It’s Scotland’s revenge as Singularity Hot Sauce comes back at us with the extra strength version of their buffalo sauce. It was a banger. We also try a couple of other new sauces from local vendors Is It Spicy and Happy Tears. We pitch a Talking Tacos reality TV show, talk about the failed Dublin-to-NYC portal, and some pharma conspiracy theories. We’re back at Tic Taco Taqueria this week and also get joined by owner, Xavier. It’s a good week for the boys!
