You can usually find her somewhere in a corner wearing her favorite Nike slides and a Laina Rauma sweatshirt + jogger combo with her eyes glued to her iPad sketching swimwear, or seeking inspiration while on her many travels for work or fun. Born + raised in New Orleans, she has a strong sense of culture and lets her travels inspire her and her collections. Her mission through Arrow + Phoenix is simple: To empower women, give back to the community and the planet we call home, and provide creative, affordable, and comfortable swimwear that celebrates diversity, sustainability, + positivity.

A+P founder and designer, Kayla Bell, has always been a bikini lover and at just seven years old, she recognized her love of design and keen eye for detail that has since taken her places beyond her childhood aspirations. As a designer and strong advocate of body positivity + philanthropy, Kayla always knew that she wanted to build a brand that had meaning and intention. While in middle and high school, she found that as a petite young woman with a 38DDD bra cup size, locating a comfortable swimsuit top that wasn't made with someone else's grandmother in mind was nearly impossible, so she began creating her own. Arrow + Phoenix was created as a continuation of her goal to remove the stress of swimwear shopping for women of all shapes and sizes while offering fellow bikini lovers a product that makes the earth a better place. An essential detail of achieving this is ensuring all designs are tested first on her body rather than that of a fit model, the styles are derived from 90’s inspired timeless pieces she feels confident will compliment and flatter all female forms, as opposed to recreating size-based, trendy pieces that aren’t great fit wise on a multitude of women.

A+P is designed especially for the woman on the go who is stylishly minimalistic, confident, and conscious of her purchases. Whether she’s swimming in the clear ocean waters of The Maldives, laughing with friends poolside, or enjoying a solo birthday trip to the illustrious Amangiri, she’s all smiles because she is comfortable, confident, + feels sexy in her own skin.
