I am former cruise ship staff, and worked aboard cruise ships for about 1 year in total serving 2 different contracts. I suppose that 1 year is not an entirely long time, but it was good enough for me at the time and the experience is one that stuck with me.

I’ll share with you the good, the bad and the ugly about working on cruise ships… because you will experience each one of those. I am going to answer some common questions I get asked about life as cruise ship staff, and if it is the correct choice for you.

If you are age 30 or under and have met the specific requirements then you are eligible to take advantage of 5 different working holiday visas that will allow you to travel the world, learn new languages, gain new skills, and take up new careers and a new home!

When I recount my twenties, I truly look back on these opportunities as the most fortunate of my life and am so glad that I took advantage of them.
