The Philadelphia Phillies completed the sweep of the Milwaukee Brewers with 2-0 victory Wednesday afternoon in South Philly!

Aaron Nola was on the hill for the Phillies tossing 7 scoreless innings allowing just two hits, no walks and striking out five. He picks up his 8th win of the season to improve to 8 -2 and lower his ERA to 2.77 on the year.

Segment 1: THREE BIG THINGS: 1) Aaron Nola continues his dominance! ERA now below 3.00 for the first time this season.  2) Nick Castellanos has been CLUTCH since Rob Thompson batted him cleanup in San Francisco, despite his struggles. 3) This defense has been amazing!  Honorable mention, Hoffman and Alvarado, MONEY MEN slamming the door on the Brewers!

The Philadelphia Phillies beat the Milwaukee Brewers 3-1 in Rhys Hoskins’ return to South Philadelphia! Hoskins received a very warm standing ovation in his return to Citizens Bank park and would go 1-for-2 with a walk and a solo home run off Zach Wheeler.

Segment 1: THREE BIG THINGS: 1) The Hoskins return was fun for everyone. For Hoskins, the Phillies and the Fans….especially because the Phillies won. Hoskins stealing 2nd in the fifth inning only to get thrown out at home was a real fun moment in the game. 2) Bottom of the order guys CONTINUE TO RAKE! David Dahl’s first big league game in over a year and his hits a homer!  3) Zack Wheeler is a beast.
