Dylan shared with us his most influential professor, how he didn’t let his age stop him from proving that he had the skills to execute his grand vision, and his transition into running Social Steering, an agency, himself.

Kate and executive producer Lucas are back with a new name but the same content.
In this episode Kate and Lucas explain the gap between seasons, the reason for the name change, and some personal life updates.

Kate’s also joined by Maggie Gallagher, former UW softball player and current advocate for women in baseball. Kate and Maggie talk about how they met, navigating being females in a male dominated industry and what it’s like navigating your own way in a world that seems to have set expectations. Maggie also shares her incredible life story, her college athletics experience, and why she’s still playing baseball.

In making this name change, Kate couldn’t have thought of a better person to join us for the first episode under the new branding.

Joey Mellows, the Baseball Brit, is a man who took an unfortunate situation and turned it into living every baseball fans dream.

While teaching in Korea Joey fell in love with the game of baseball. When his plans for moving to the US fell through he looked at his life savings and decided he was going to spend 2019 trying to attend 162 MLB/MiLB/Independent league baseball games and share his love of the game with as many people as he could.

We talked about what that adventure looked like, the difference between MLB and KBO baseball, and our favorite stadiums. (Some of our answers might surprise you.) It’s refreshing to hear the perspective of someone who fell in love with the game of baseball later in life and outside of the US- we feel like we learned a few things in the process.

This week we’re joined by Tyler Ferguson (current FA, 2014 NCAA National Champion, Vanderbilt) to discuss going from dominating as a pitcher and being on top of your game to struggling with the yips and mental aspects of baseball. Tyler was candid in sharing his journey from a career low point to finding his rhythm again.



Tyler also told us all about playing for a powerhouse baseball program like Vanderbilt and how he even ended up there. 



Having an athlete be this truly candid about their struggles and the process is eye opening and a must listen to for any sports fan. Tyler did a fantastic job articulating the almost indescribable struggle that is the yips.
