- Fiction
I created this podcast to share my creative practice and inspire new and untold stories. I’m a published and award winning author who lives and writes on the wild North Yorkshire Coast. My novel ‘How Saints Die’ was published with Vintage in 2018. My poetry has been commissioned by the BBC, The Royal Festival Hall and Durham Book Festival. I am a creative practitioner, mentor and campaigner for unheard voices. My primary school teacher described my writing as ‘weird minus 1 house-point.’ I continue to aspire to this accolade.

Dreaming Corona
What has Corona done to our dreams and why? As a writer I’m obsessed with the way that a crisis is translated by our subconscious mind. This episode will uncover the relationship between creativity, dreaming and big world events. I’ll question the way in which we record the facts of history and not the actual weirdness of living through it and invite you to channel the strangeness into a big creative adventure. I’d like to capture your dreams like the BFG and make them into a poem / essay / prose or a mix of all of the above. If you’d like to find out more about this project visit carmenmarcus.co.uk.
