The time has come. Jake Bates is now a member of the Detroit Lions
The Lions have done it. UFL star kicker Jake Bates has, according to ESPN, agreed on a two year deal with the Detroit Lions. Bates, who is known for hitting 60 yarders with ease at Ford Field, will compete with Mike Badgley and James Turner for the kicking job. It is a job that is in flux every year for the Lions it seems. Bates was All-UFL after making 17 field goals during the season for the Panthers. In addition, should the Lions entertain bringing back Adrian Martinez?
