Season 1 Episode 9 - the Lumberjack with a ForestSea of Musical Knowledge so good pod

    • Personal Journals

I talked with Cam all the way from Berlin! We talked a lot of music -- starting with the discography of the Whitest Boy Alive, then KOTA the Friend, Seja (and her amazing HearSej podcast), Maximo Park, Swipe Inc (https://open.spotify.com/artist/1Xwe8pB7mn9DbTzr7FPoqy?si=04c1PapWRZ-1j4OhBG4HVg), Bob Saget, Kite String Tangle, Bilderbuch and Confidence Man. We also talked about how music can act as an anchor point in your life, musicals inter alia (including adding to the Cats discourse), the best coffee in Italy and Confident Music for Confident People and, of course, coffee. Cam recommended the book How Music Works by David Byrne, albums by Thom York, KOTA the Friend, Chance the Rapper and I recommend the song Fold Laundry Together by Heaps Good Friends. I also briefly mention this setlist that Olympia did for Double J -- if you have any inclination whatsoever, I cannot recommend listening to it enough (https://www.abc.net.au/doublej/programs/artist-in-residence/artist-in-residence-olympia/12134814) . Hope you enjoy! :)

so good pod is ostensibly just an excuse to sit down and talk with a friend for a while and become a bit closer. It's a part of @so_good_dog (https://www.instagram.com/so_good_dog/). We share a coffee together, or tea, or beer, or even listening to an album or song, and use that as a jumping off point to talk for a while. Because I love friends, and they're all incredible amazing people, and there's always so much I don't know about people, or I feel just dedicating time to talking with someone is a really positive way to become closer to them - and a really wonderful way to spend time. Hopefully you enjoy the conversation, and feel free to use it as an excuse to start a conversation with a friend in your own life! Stay well :)
