    दिल ढूँढता है

    दिल ढूँढता है

My first attempt at reciting a female-centric poem. The theme was so beautiful that I couldn't resist. A poem by Jyoti Mamgain that talks about how we go about our daily lives not even probably noticing the person next to us. So many conversations, new relationships are lost because we are buried deep inside our phones and social media updates. She talks about how the traditional love story is slowly getting lost in the fast pace of the digital world.

    जो चला गया

    जो चला गया

Loneliness can be devastating, depression can affect anyone, no matter how rich or poor, successful or a failure. We as a society need to wake up and take mental health as seriously as the health of any other part of our body. This poem doesn't talk about this, it talks about why we should stop analyzing and dissecting one's life after he or she is gone. If not in this life, he or she deserves peace at least in soul, if not in flesh.

    मत निकल

    मत निकल

Despite the current state of lockdown, the number of affected cases of Cornona virus only seems to increase, partly due to the natural spread and partly due to some people still not understanding that they are putting their own lives and the lives of others at risk. A parody on the famous Agneepath poem by probably the Jaipur police, advising people to stay home.

    खयाल आते हैं

    खयाल आते हैं

It's a proud privilege for me to be given the honour of reciting a poem written by a close friend Rajeev Goenka. There is often a dichotomy between what we say, show, want or do. Sometimes it is because we don't want to but more often probably it is because we can't exactly always be who we want to be. These feelings and more have been beautifully expressed in this poem.

    सुकून

    सुकून

A very meaningful and deep poem by Pallavi Mahajan which is so relevant in our times. We run all our lives searching for that goal that some of us call 'peace' and some of us 'success'. Do any of us find it? How do we know when we find it? The one day we realise that our definition of the word peace and success was wrong and thus our way of looking for it as well.

    तो क्या हुआ

    तो क्या हुआ

Life can be difficult, there can be times when one feels alone, troubled, in despair but even in those moments life is and always will be beautiful. When times are good we never question why good times happened to us and not to someone else but in bad times we always question - why us? This poem through 3 simple words "Toh Kya Hua" simplifies all of life's problems.
