The In Focus podcast was born out of necessity; a series of stories I need to produce for my university course. However, I aim for this podcast to grow out of that, and become a creative platform where I can produce content on topics that interest me, and hopefully interest you too.

#01 - Dr. Ciara Staunton
Dr. Ciara Staunton is a Senior Lecturer in Law at Middlesex University as well as a Senior researcher at Eurac Research’s Institute for Biomedicine. Dr. Staunton has also spent some time in South Africa, where she was a Visiting fellow at the University of Cape Town's Genetics Department and a Visiting Researcher at the Center for Applied Ethics at the University of Stellenbosch. Dr. Staunton was also an advisor to the South African National Institute for Communicable Diseases on strengthening data protection framework.
I spoke to Dr. Staunton about the State of Disaster in South Africa and the possible implications it may have on South Africans, both now and in the future.
