The House of Representatives has passed the bipartisan bill HR 7521 which seeks to force divestment of the Chinese company ByteDance from its massive social media platform #TikTok. The bill gives #ByteDance an ultimatum to divest or risk a permanent ban in the United States. In a not so surprising move, an Illinois judge has removed former President Donald Trump from the state’s ballot based on the 14th Amendment’s so-called “insurrectionist ban.” The Judge says that any votes in favor of Trump during the primary election will be suppressed.

New York Attorney General Letitia James, famous for her lawsuit against Former President Donald Trump, has now decided to sue JBS Foods, the largest producer of beef in the world, for supposedly misleading the public regarding their environmental impact. Last week Judge Engoron and Attorney General Laticia James were able to find a guilty verdict against former President Donald Trump. Trump was accused of over valuing his real estate assets in order to obtain favorable loan conditions. The judge levied a $350 million restitution payment and barred Andy bank registered in New York from lending money to Trump or his business for 3 years.
