Jenna Knight owns the newly opened Shear Haven Salon in Downtown Cloquet.  She offers a full suite of customized personal haircare services, from cuts and perms to up-dos and facial waxing.  She recently relocated her business from the Pike Lake area into Cloquet after purchasing a home in Carlton County.  Her husband is employed at the 148th Fighter Wing – Minnesota National Guard.  As such, she proudly offers military discounts.  She is becoming quickly integrated into Cloquet and working with Nelson Funeral Care to assist them with client preparations.    

 The Proctor graduate spoke with us about the importance of self-care. 

Jenna’s mom was a hairdresser when she was growing up. Now, being a hairdresser herself has allowed Jenna to prioritize her three children and their schedules. This also affords her flexibility in serving a client base with untraditional schedules of sports families. She shared that she has learned to pace herself in her career and not be a “yes” person.

“I love making people feel good, I also love the concept of offering affordable haircare and giving back to my community,” shared Jenna Knight owner of Shear Haven Salon.

Simply stated, meeting entrepreneur Bree Hieb will knock your socks off. She’s an inspiration across career spectrums and one heck of a “glow-getter.” Bree recently purchased 905 Cloquet Avenue in Downtown Cloquet and renovated the building interior for her business, Glow Getter Aesthetics, and the adjacent business suite space that is leased to a new downtown salon, Shear Haven, operated by her close friend Jenna Knight next door. Bree is a Proctor graduate who was married in 2020, and her husband works for the 148th Fighter Wing – Minnesota National Guard. 



Listening to Bree leaves your mind spinning as you consider her journey to where she is today: from marketing and business major at St. Cloud State University to waitressing, working as a flight attendant, obtaining a second degree in Nursing, and then ten years later, a third-degree in Nurse Anesthesia, plus some personal inspirational stories in between. She attended a three-day medical spa and beauty academy training program in Detroit with a tightly knit group of supportive CRNAs. We were hooked, dang girl!



Bree still holds a full-time nursing job but has learned, watching her mother, who was a hairdresser, to continue planning your personal future and career opportunities. “What I’ve learned from working so many jobs is that you have to put yourself first,” shared Bree Hieb, owner of Glow Getter Aesthetics.
