Another Memorial Day weekend is upon us, and as always there's a ton of fun going on. The beach! Pick a beach, they're all open and will all be crowded, but what is Memorial Day Weekend without the beach?! The Jacksonville Jazz Festival starts tonight with the piano competition at the Florida Theatre, then Friday through Sunday you've got music all day long at Metropolitan Park and at Daily's Place. Also this weekend, the Symphony in 60 series performs ballet selections, complete with dancers, at Jacoby Hall. Saturday night, Earth, Wind, and Fire perform with Lionel Richie at Vystar Memorial Arena! A new show opens at the Alhambra this weekend, check out "Boeing! Boeing!" and enjoy a great meal and show! History buffs can get your nostalgia fix at the historic St. Augustine Lighthouse. And of course Monday, WOKV will cover the Memorial Day Ceremony from the Veterans Memorial Wall downtown, starting at 8am.
