The two sets of sisters comprising Neptune's Core are on a creative roll. Since I last spoke with them, they nailed down their live show and their music continues to take chances and go to interesting places. I can only imagine what they'll be capable of by the time they can all legally vote. Give this band your ears.

To fuel our conversation, we met at Roti in Lincoln Park (1000 W. North Avenue). We sampled amazing menu items including the  Mezza Protein Bowl (Chicken Roti, Harissa Chicken, Sumac Skirt Steak, Falafel, Mixed Greens, Saffron Rice, Purple Cabbage, Persian Cucumbers, Hummus, Tahini Sauce, and Roti Spice), the Rainbow Veggie Bowl (Roasted Vegetables, Saffron Rice, Purple Cabbage, Grape Tomatoes, Feta, Pickled Onions, Citrus Vinaigrette, Garlic Sauce, and Roti Spice) and the Roasted Veggie Pita (Double Roasted Vegetables, Angel's Bakery Pita, Purple Cabbage, Chickpea Salad, Roasted Corn, Pita Chips, Roasted Red Pepper Sauce, Garlic Sauce, and Roti Spice). 

 

The food was delicious, fresh and exactly what we wanted. We’re grateful for the hospitality!
