Misplaced Identity
It's Freedom Friday on Karl and Crew Mornings, and we wrapped up the week with a discussion on misplaced identity. When we base our identity on things like work, relationships, or sinful habits, we lock ourselves back into the prison from which Christ has set us free. This can inhibit us from helping others find full freedom in Christ. Our Scripture reference was Isaiah 61:1, and our special guest is Greg Dempster. He is the the founder and director of ChristLife Ministries, helping Christians remove the chasm that often exists between what they believe to be true about God and what they're experiencing daily. This is an episode you do not want to miss! You can hear all the highlights on the Karl and Crew Showcast.

Expect the Greater Reward
Today on Karl and Crew Mornings, we continued our weekly theme, "Four Pillars of Manhood." We discussed the pillar of expecting the greater reward. Many passages of Scripture point to an anticipated reward for our perserverance in the faith. We heard from the Boom Crew about what kinds of training they are currently being called into. We also heard from Mark Jobe about an opportunity to donate to Moody Bible Institute and to help us continue training up disciples for the Kingdom of God. Hear all the highlights of today's program on the Karl and Crew Showcast.

Lead Courageously
Today on Karl and Crew Mornings, we continued our weekly theme, "Four Pillars of Manhood." But first, we talked with Omer Eshel, CEO and founder of The Bible Comes to Life Travel and Education Center. He gave us an update on what is currently happening with Israel. Then we went to 2 Samuel 16:5-13 to discuss the story of King David and a man named Shimei. This man was cursing David. But rather than retaliating, David said, "Let him curse." Leading courageously starts with listening to the still, small voice of God with a posture of humility. Hear all the highlights of today's program on the Karl and Crew Showcast.

Accept Responsibility
Today on Karl and Crew Mornings, we continued our weekly theme, "Four Pillars of Manhood." Pillar number 2 is accepting responsibility. Our Scripture reference was 2 Samuel 12. We read about David stepping up and owning his sinful actions concerning Bathsheba and Uriah. There's something so powerful about being able to admit, "I have sinned against the Lord." Today can be the day when you bust through fear and pride and take the courageous step of accepting responsibility. Finally, it's National Fishing Day! We got some great recommendations from the Boom Crew for good fishing spots, and we discussed what it means to be a fisher of men. Listen to all the highlights of today's program on the Karl and Crew Showcast.

Reject Passivity
Today on Karl and Crew Mornings, we kicked off a new weekly theme, "Four Pillars of Manhood." What makes a good man? We discussed pillar number one: rejecting passivity. Passivity is the tendency to move away from responsibility, and it is one of the greatest enemies of biblical manhood. We looked to the story of David and Bathsheba in 2 Samuel 11 as an example of how one passive act can lead to a world of trouble. Rejecting passivity means being decisive, focused, and effective. In which area of your own life do you need to reject passivity? Finally, we loved hearing from the Boom Crew about their Father's Day fun. We hope you had a wonderful Father's Day, and we hope you listen to all the highlights of today's program on the Karl and Crew Showcast.

Choosing Self-Denial
Today on Karl and Crew Mornings, we wrapped up this week's discussion on making choices. Our Scripture Reference was Matthew 16:24-26. Jesus presents us with a choice: gain the world and forfeit our souls, OR deny ourselves and follow Him today. Our guest this morning was Rachel G. Scott. She is a Bible teacher, podcast host, author, and founder of the I Can't Come Down Movement. Her latest book is called, Taking the 5 Leaps: Experiencing God's Faithfulness as You Respond to His Call. Are you a fisherman? A tent maker? What is your leap of faith? You can hear all the highlights of today's program on the Karl and Crew Showcast.
