In this podcast social systems change will be made accessible. In times of societal unrest, political scandals and climate crisis, we, probably unconsciously, question ourselves how to relate to the societal systems in which this is rooted. We often analyse this with our cognition. However, our body anticipates this much faster than our cognition can grasp it.My name is Marjon van Opijnen, founder of the Embodiment LAB. In this podcast I will unravel the mysteries of our bodies in relation to challenging situations. And how more body awareness can help us to create societal and education change that serves us. I hope that this podcast gives you knowledge and new ideas. And that you can take your role as embodied change agent.Because….. Concepts and ideas are important to come to change, but if we fail to feel and life through it, little change will happen. This explorative podcast is about my own search to the relation between societal change and embodiment. I will share background information. I will interview experts and provide exercises. We will think, feel and act!Great that you are here and I hope you enjoy listening to this podcast!

Why a new economy does not thrive if we do not heal ourselves – Shinta Oosterwaal (#24)

Why a new economy does not thrive if we do not heal ourselves – Shinta Oosterwaal (#24)

In this Embodiment Talk I have a conversation with Shinta Oosterwaal. Recently (2021) she published her book Thrive, Fundamentals for a New Economy together with Kees Klomp. In this episode we look at the change to a new economy and include an embodiment perspective. We talk about:•    What embodiment means for Shinta in relation to societal change;•    How our education system determines our world view and how we look at the world;•    How systems are based on narratives and how we create a fragmented world based on these narratives;•    How we can notice our embodiment beyond our concepts;•    And we talk about tips how to contribute to a better world and do this from a more embodied space.Shinta Oosterwaal is educated as an economist, but calls herself an uneconomist. With her inclusive view on societal change, the word economist is too limited. She is also a trained holistic psychotherapist. Her economy and therapy background brings societal change and our human nature closer to each other.More information about Shinta Oosterwaal: https://www.shintaoosterwaal.com/An overview of her books: https://shintaoosterwaal.com/books/The programme Economics for change: https://schoolforchange.nl/economics-for-change *  *  *Do you want to get in touch with me, send an email to marjon@embodimentlab.nl.Do you want to know more about the Embodiment LAB, do you want more inspiration or stay up to date with my activities, go to my website or watch my videos on my YouTube Channel.
