102 - Abbey Lathrop, Performance Dietitian @ Power 10 Nutrition

Today I spoke with Abbey Lathrop who is a Performance Dietitian. She has recently started her own company and is contracting with a variety of businesses. Her experiences and passion have gotten her to where she is now. We will touch on current goals, tips and a variety of populations.

Abbey Lathrop is the performance dietitian at Power 10 Nutrition at Howard Head Sports Medicine and other businesses. A native of Kennett Square, PA, Abbey received her bachelor of science degree in nutrition from Penn State University before continuing on to Florida State University where she received her master of science in Exercise Physiology & Sports Nutrition.   Prior to joining the Howard Head Sports Medicine team, Abbey has spent a number of years working with a variety of individuals helping them to reach peak performance through optimal nutrition strategies.  An athlete herself on the Penn State Rowing team, Abbey worked with collegiate athletes at Penn State before spending the 2014-15 season with the USA Field Hockey team helping them to prepare for the Rio Olympic games. Since then, she's worked with athletes at Florida State, and spent the 2018-2019 season with the Chicago Bears. Most recently, Abbey served as a performance dietitian at EXOS in Phoenix, AZ, a sports performance facility where she worked with individuals that ranged from youth & adult clients to collegiate, military, Olympic & professional athletes.  Outside of her dietitian duties, Abbey loves spending time outdoors with family, friends and dog, Bode hiking, skiing,  and paddle boarding, as well as traveling around the country.

We look forward to talking to Abbey again in the future as part of a panel and to discuss some specific topics in greater detail.
