Art Buffet! Market House Studios Podcast

Alex Holt interviews Market House Studio Artist Tina Warren about herself and the ongoing workshops at the Studios.
'Art Buffet was an idea by the Arts, Health and Wellbeing Officer Lesley who wanted to provide a free creative opportunity for local residents to connect with local professional artists at the stunning studios. The sessions are Thursday mornings for 8 weeks and involve 4 artists bringing a wide variety of things for people to simply have a go at and explore their own creative minds. Things on offer include sketching, acrylic and watercolour painting, clay modelling, sculpture work and printmaking.
It’s as much about the social opportunity as the creative one, and everyone is supported and gently guided to try these new things. A nice relaxing coffee break also helps people enjoy the atmosphere of friendship and mutual support. Previous participants thoroughly enjoyed themselves and have forged some lovely new friendships as a result so coming along can lead to more opportunities.
We are planning more in the future, including something similar in Cleveleys starting soon so if anyone is interested please speak to their local social prescriber at their GP surgery, or email artsandevents@wyre.gov.uk'
