Hello everyone! Welcome to Down By The River the official podcast for The River Franklin Park Church in Franklin Park/Sewickley Pennsylvania which is just outside of Pittsburgh. This podcast is a way for people to learn about the people who make up The River Church Franklin Park and to help them grow in faith and community.
The podcast features interviews with people who attend The River Church. They talk about their past, present and hopes for the future and also share their faith story and how they came to know Jesus Christ. Today's episode features an interview with Ramsey Longaker. Ramsey has attended The River for a couple of years now and lives in Avalon, Pa. Ramsey has a long history of being involved in ministry in Pittsburgh. He has led music for thousands throughout his life and is a part of our worship team here at The River. This podcast covers a wide variety of topics many with a Pittsburgh flavor. The conversation includes discussions of U2, Laurelville, youth ministry, Grandma, being an acolyte, the 80's, the blues, Jimmy Page, Kennywood and much more.
