The turning point of the Prodigal son’s story is quite literally that he turned around. He had every right to feel too ashamed, but somewhere deep down, he believed that there was still a chance there’d be something for him when he returned (even if it was just as a servant). If he never took the leap to turn around, he would’ve never experienced the joy of coming home. It may be true that your life has taken a path that you’re not proud of, but what’s more true is that God loves you. This means that you can always turn around.
