Old men are often said to have "one foot in the grave" but those whose trust is wholly in Jesus Christ for time and eternity are not looking forward to the grave but to glory, for the Bible says that to be "absent from the body" is to be "present with the Lord". At the age of 87, therefore, I have chosen this name for my new podcast which will feature videos of talks, comments and lectures about the Bible and science and also Bible expositions.

AUDIO; OUR STRENGTH RESIDES IN THE PROMISES OF GOD
God commands Joshua to be "strong and very courageous" as he leads the people of Israel into the promised land. Easy to say but much more difficult to obey, given the resistence they were likely to encounter. But the Lord points out to Joshua (and thus also to us) that there are three good reasons for courage in the face of the challenges of serving God, namely, the promises of God, the power of God and the presence of the pre-incarnate Christ. We should follow Joshua's example.

AUDIO; "LOVE ONE ANOTHER"; IT COULD AFFECT YOUR ETERNAL DESTINY
Christ's second coming seldom affects the way Christians behave today as it did in the early church. Yet the parable of the sheep and the goats in Matthew 25:31-46 challenges our thinking on this issue because, as we seek to show in this podcast, it confronts us with the way we respond to Christ's "new commandment" to love our fellow believers as Christ loves us.
Apologies for the misquote from memory of Isaiah 65:25. It's the wolf and the lamb that will feed together, -

AUDIO; SHARING IS A CHRISTIAN GRACE
Sharing with our fellow believers is integral to a healthy, balanced and biblical Christianity. Pastor Chris Boraston finds some principles for us to follow in his exposition of Acts 4:32-37 where Luke describes the early believers as being "of one heart and soul". We need to follow their example.
