Journey of life (Marathi)





In a life of the Lord Jesus Christ, the journey is not of the disciple alone. God’s Presence is promised to him as he journeys. The theme is based on the Journey of the People of Israel as they journeyed from Egypt after their deliverance for 40 years. God who set them free had promised them to be with them till they reach Canaan. So is with a
disciple of Jesus Christ, God’s presence is with him after his deliverance from the Power of Sin, Death, Curse and Satan. The Exodus chapter 15 is a base for this thought.

God of all nations has promised His people an assured security during their life journey from the beginning till they reach their last destination. 



There are risks, dangers and various challenges during the period of our sojourn. But God will protect His people. Psalms 91:3-4.



A. Deut. 32:9-14 is an example of the Joirney of Jacob the son of Isaac. 



he was sent away to be protected from Esau his brother whom he had cheated. He was in the wilderness alone. God found him and protected him all the way to his return after 20 years or more. God took care of His people from Egypt and wilderness. He provided them Pillar of cloud by day and Pillar of fire by night. He bore them on His wings like an Eagle. He led them like a shepherd. He took care of them like a master of household. During their 40 years journey they did not lack anything as we read in Nehemiah 9:12-37.No enemy could harm them till God took them to Canaan. Protection of God proved His faithfulness and His Covenant Relationship with Abraham. God forgave their sin and disciplined their wayward walk with Him. He taught them to fear Him so that they should trust His protection and the safety they needed. He expected them to love, obey and serve Him alone. Let's trust the sovereign protection of God for our journey and learn to walk the way He has shown us. Let your heart be filled with His assurance that He is our Rock and fortress. God is our hiding place. He is willing to shelter us in all times. May God bless you.

As we sojourn in our life, we will come across pressure, tensions, needs and sudden requirements. But know that God says through Apostle Peter: " 1Pet 5:7: "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."




Apostle Paul encourages the church in Philippian 4:6-9: "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you."




I read a news story how during the lockdown, a distressed child forced its mother for milk by crying all the time. She requested a police woman. The police woman went out and brought milk for the baby. The baby became quiet and peaceful. God cares for His children much more than any of the father or mother. We should trust Him. Only He satisfies us with His Peace and the same God of peace dwells with us.



Psalmists says:
Ps 29:11: "The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace."
Psalm 119:165: "Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them."
Isaiah says: 26:3: "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee."
Isa 32:18: And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;"



God has promised His peace to His people for their sojourn on earth and hereafter. May the Peace of God and the God of Peace be with you.

During the journey we take, God wants us to have His perspective to be our aim. We are given a heavenly Kingdom, so we must focus our look to it all the time.



The Psalmist says: 



Ps 91:7-10: "A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling."



1. We shall face troubles, pain and loss in our sojourn. But we are all together in these troubles. Rev. 1:9



Rev 1:9: "I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ."



But our Saviour has taken over the power of the Kingdom in His hands. (Rev.19:6) In His Kingdom, we shall reign together with Him.(Rev.22:5)



2. Ps.91:16 is a promise to is with 2 things. First is "Long Life" which is not measurable, and Second is Experience of Salvation which is Deliverance, Victory and well being. 



3. This is possible because of His LOVE in Christ Jesus which is Matchless. (Rom.8:37-39) From this Matchless Love, nothing can separate us now or later.



4. We may face Fears, threats, weakness, and may stumble some times. But God says:  



Isa 41:10: "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."



5. God has given me a Resurrected life. I'm Reconciled to God. I am given a task of being an Ambassadore to a country to share a hand of friendship. But in times of wars and emergencies, My King God will call me back to His safest place. He will keep me in perfect peace. 



As a Christian, we are sent to a land to represent the Kingdom of God. Let's hold to that perspective and reach the given destination. God has promised to be with us in all times.

God knows our needs but doesn't like our greed. Around 5 to 6 million people needed: Water, Bread, Cloths, Shelter and Protection from the wild animals, enemies and seasonal nature impacts.



God says:

Moses says: 



Deu 8:15-16: "Who led thee through that great and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there was no water; who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint; Who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end;"



2) God provided them Manna from heaven, created sweet water sources, gave birds to satisfy meat they wanted, and provided Angel to protect them during the journey. He met their needs 40 years. 



Nehemiah says:(9:21-23): "Yea, forty years didst thou sustain them in the wilderness, so that they lacked nothing; their clothes waxed not old, and their feet swelled not. Moreover thou gavest them kingdoms and nations, and didst divide them into corners: so they possessed the land of Sihon, and the land of the king of Heshbon, and the land of Og king of Bashan. Their children also multipliedst thou as the stars of heaven, and broughtest them into the land, concerning which thou hadst promised to their fathers, that they should go in to possess it."



Isaiah says: (46:4): "And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you."



Isaiah says (41:10): "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."



3) We all may face needs and wants, fears and threats, weakness and fragility. God says He will sustain us and be our strong support.



This shows how God provides and cares His people. We as disciples of Lord Jesus and Being the Church in sojourn, let us trust His provisions. Let's journey together as Ambassadors of His Kingdom till we reach our heavely destination. Let's look up to Jehovah Jirreh and continue our journey by faith in Christ Jesus.

As a disciple of Christ Jesus, I believe the Bible as the Word of God. It has mentioned the name of God as EL-4,379, Elohim- 2,701, Jehovah -6,467, Qualities and titles 74, total 694, Father used by Jesus-176 times. God wanted His people to know Him definitely.



God called Abraham from UR and he obeyed God. He journeyed with his wife and household. God promised him a nation but both were barren and old. It could took only the miraculous Power of God to make both Fertile to conception of a child in Sarah's womb. At the of 75 God said to Abraham to go to an unknown land. He journeyed and had a son at the age of 100. He named it ISAAC.The Psalmist says: Ps 91:14-16: "Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore:  will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him:  I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation."God created a nation out of one son Isaac to Jacob with 12 Patriarchs. In times of Moses, the people of Israel grew and multiplied during the bondage of 430 years or so. Then God sent the Deliverer in the form of Moses. God demonstrated His power through 10 plagues punishing the Pharaohs Kingdom. But he hardened his heart. So God took His people out in a day. He divided the Red Ses and people walked through the walls of waters. Pharoah's army chased the Israelites but were drawn into sea. God brought His people out by delivering them from the bondage according to His promise. He showed His power to create out of nothing. Then He led through 40 years with His Power into the Promised Land. It all began with the test of Abraham. Abraham heard God and believed Him in Genesis ch.17 but in ch.22 he learned to obey God by trusting God's power into Resurrection of his son Isaac. Abraham sacrificed on the Altar of God which he loved most, his son, his hope. It was rewarded by God in returning the son by not allowing him to be offered. Through Isaac and Jacob, God blessed His children. Abraham died but his children went on journeying till they reached the Promised Land. It was a Walk of Faith in the Power of God. 







Conclusion



We as children of God must continue to journey with perseverance and faith in the Promise and the Power of God. Lord Jesus Christ has promised us His ALL POWER to be with us till end of the age. Let us be faithful in our journey with God who will lead us to the Promised Land with His Power.Thank you with blessings
