As we move toward Pentecost Sunday, We need to return to the Gospel accounts of the very last days of Jesus' earthly ministry and His last conversations with His disciples. An encounter with the risen Christ was enough to save them, restore them, and encourage them. But they still needed something else before they were ready to be the world changers Jesus was calling them to be. So do we.

When we come to Christ, it is easy to fall into the habit of identifying our personal goals, and seeking the Lord's blessing on them. What we are commanded to do, though is to seek God for the goals themselves.
