We launched the third season of Table Manners for Robots. The show format has been upgraded. We had a ton of feedback and questions from the live audience. Unfortunately, in the excitement of things, I didn't get to many of the comments and questions. But, I made a promise to provide answers to all questions in the next and future shows.
Videsha Proothveerajh, CEO and Chairperson of the Board, Lexis Nexis South Africa, opened up the discussion with a frank and open discussion on the potential she see's in Africa. She talked about some of the exciting work she is leading, together with some of her personal experiences as a mother and CEO.
Dr Nick Bradshaw, the leader behind AI Expo Africa, shared valuable insight on the state of 4IR in Africa. I was curious to understand the state of progress in Africa together with Africa's unique contributions to the development of 4IR technologies. Nick addressed my questions and left me with a lot of confidence about where things are headed.

As you may know, we regrettably didn’t deliver episode 3 of our current series last week as planned. Yes, things went awry, and we had no choice but to postpone. The good news is that we did a repeat broadcast today and all went well! The team and I are very relieved!
 
The content was very well received, and feedback was excellent. Ironically, the show is all about disaster recovery (DR). If you ever wondered about the difference between business continuity and DR or about how cloud has impacted traditional DR, then this is a must watch.
 
Our expert guests Andrew Cruise and Benjamin Coetzer did a fantastic job of explaining important concepts clearly. They share invaluable advice that today’s business leaders must heed. Business disasters are more frequent that we realise, and we need a plan to recover rapidly from them.

In the spirit of keeping you abreast of all things tech, we could not go another week without addressing the topic of crypto. In this episode, I interview Giannis Andreou from Athens, Greece. He is a self-taught expert in all things crypto. With tens of thousands of social media followers who trust his knowledge, he is an influencer in the truest sense. If you ever had questions regarding the basics of crypto, feast on this episode and get them answered. It is certainly worth your while.

We had a great show yesterday. The feedback was even better than we expected. Our guest speakers from McAfee did a great job of explaining things clearly. It was easy to understand and answered a lot of the questions we have about the security of our information. I now understand why we still need to take action even if we have purchased cloud services from reputable providers. Yes, we agree. We are getting inundated by POPIA messages all over the place. And as we much as don’t like adding to the fuss, we feel this particular aspect of POPIA isn’t sufficiently addressed.
