5 finger method of testing whether something is from God:
1 - Does it glorify God?
2 - Is it backed up by scripture?
3 - Do other Christians confirm it?
4 - Will it or did it bear spiritual fruit? (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness or self-control)
5 - Did it come to pass?
